Renovo Ministries

We believe that the church should be actively engaged and serving the community from within. In many cases this means partnering with existing local organizations events to lead and serve as an example of what it means to be christ like. Some of the following ministries we have developed ourselves and some of them are existing organizations that we have attempted to contribute toward. 	Area Missional Communites (AMC's) are the primary way that Renovo Church gathers to live our lives for Jesus and attempt to fulfill the message of Acts 2:42-47. Most community groups gather on a regular periodic basis for fellowship, accountability, service, study, and prayer. Area Missional Communities have a heart to see people living and transformed by a relationship with Jesus. Many of our Area Missional Communities exist solely to serve one another. It is our desire that everyone who attends Renovo would become a part of one or more Area Misisonal Communities.
	Renovo's School of Theology is the process we have designed to develop and build true discipleship among attenders of Renovo. The School of Theology is a series of courses meant to teach you everything from the beginning Alpha Course-101 of who Jesus is to training you on how to lead an AMC in our 401 level course. The courses run varying lengths of time and cover all the books of the bible as you move from 101, to 201, to 301, and finish our 401 level courses. The courses are meant to instill what it means to be and how to live as a true disciple of Christ with a goal that as people complete courses they are able to begin teaching those courses to other people. 	Jesus said that the Kingdom of God belongs to the children (Luke 18:16) and our approach to Children's Ministry is believing that the kids at Renovo are not the future of the church but that they are the Church. Our children remain in the service through the song portion and are dismissed for relevant and challenging teaching just prior to the teaching portion of our services. We have infant, preschool, and elementary age curriculum that has been designed to challenge our kids in scripture and application. Our children have also banded together to pray for and financially support a child through World Visions child sponsorship program.
	Renovo's Teen Missions group is called Zeteo which means seek in Greek. The Teen Missions group is composed of junior high and high school students seeking the to find Gods will in thier lives and live out the mission of Renovo to renew lost souls, revive relationships, and repeat God's mission.
	Wildwood is an opportunity we began to help some people in our community that have found themselves in a season of needing a little extra support. We meet weekly at a local park in Puyallup and provide food and other necessities to those in need of a little extra. Wildwood is a place where we feel compelled that Jesus would spend his time building relationships and ministering to individuals and families that the general population has disregarded.
	The Puyallup Valley Farmers Market is widely regarded as one of the best gatherings of fresh produce and local craftsman in the region. In the spirit of being present where the people are in the community we set up a booth passing out free balloons, face painting, and passing out warm or cold beverages to the community. We believe the Church should be a part of the community and be where the people are. We have volunteered to help organize other non-profit groups that are interested in participating in the market. We also try to be present at similar community events such as the Daffodil Parade, Meeker Days and the Spring and Fall Fairs.
	New Beginnings Home is an actual home for expecting moms that often have little to no support from others. Child birth is without a doubt one lives largest transitions and New Beginning is a safe place for a mom to stay while she prepares to make the best choices for herself and the baby.
	St. Francis House is a place where single moms, widows, and people in need are able to get help. St Francis house offers a food bank, meal program, furniture and clothing bank, as well as many other services. This is truly a place where Jesus Christ would spend time bringing healing and love to families in our community.
	Each month we look for ways to renovate our city. We find areas that have been neglected and forgotten. With a little sweat, hard work, love, and prayer we transform parks, recreational areas, homes, and neighborhoods and give it back to the community in the name of Jesus!
	Three cedars is apart of the AIDS Housing Association of Tacoma. Three Cedars has several residents that need friends to hang out with and the house itself is always in need of special projects. Find out how you can get plugged in today.
	Renovo is committed to supporting the international mission work of Rene Saldaño through Ibero American Ministries. Rene has moved away from his home in Chile to be a missionary in the Middle East. His ambition and passion are inspiring and we are honored that we can support him as he renovates the world for Jesus.
